Andy Nguyen is a Research Engineer at NCTM2 in Dallas and is responsible for bridging the gap between industry expertise to academic principles. Prior to joining NCTM2 in October 2025, he served in the R&D sector as a biomedical engineer and in the biopharmaceutical industry as a process development engineer since 2021. At a startup contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), he contributed to upstream development and as a subject matter expert in downstream protein purification methodologies through scale-up initiatives for biomanufacturing recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies for various drug therapies. He has worked on a multitude of projects from researching and designing single use scalable 3D bioreactors to developing biomaterial technology in artificial oxygen carriers for drug delivery applications. Andy obtained an M.S in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
